I grew up on Annabelle Ave in Old Goodwood. Went to Goodwood Elem, Westdale and Tara.

Well Calvin Lindsley grew up back there. Started bagging groceries at IGA and now owns it. And my old friend Scott Woodward went to Goodwood Elementary and was named Athletic Director at Texas A&M last week. He will be LSU next when they get rid of Alleva.

Frank McLavy is still in the store but yes his daughters and son in law run it mostly. Was he really a principal at Broadmoor? Didn't know that and why would he have left?

Cool. Didn't know Scott had left the Huskies. Good guy from way back.

Calvin is a friend of the family. It's rare when someone sticks with the same place their entire life. He has always seemed to enjoy the grocery life. Piggy Wiggly IGA was my first job, too. Me and Dwayne Granier worked there, as did my sister. My mom still shops at Calvin's daily.
