Was there and had to fight the tears. At that time I had not missed a game ---home or away in 18 years. I saw a lot of arse lickings during the Curley years. It remember asking my buddy, "is this really happening or am I drunk and hallucinating?".

Damn, I am officially getting old. 12-yrs ago?

I ran 21 miles that week just to offset the caloric intake of beer and food. If honest, I thought that was going to be a once in a lifetime experience, and I enjoyed it as such.

I still ended up gaining 8 lbs -- not muscle, I promise you.

Awesome time!

I, for one, will always be grateful to Nick for what he did for this program.

I remember that event even more fondly because it probably saved my life.

Was feeling very anxious because I just missed the 1958 championship season so this was going to be my first. I was very nervous and excited, and it probably triggered a heart event that gave me a warning that something was wrong. A couple of days later I was at a heart clinic demanding some tests, and a few days later underwent angioplasty.

So, without the excitement of my Tigers in a championship game I might have just had a heart attack later.

Forever LSU!

I decided to get engaged that night only if we won it.

I watched the game back home at a friend's house with a few friends that I grew up with.

I called FIL at half time, who played football at A&M after Bear left to go to BAMA, he was 0-4 against LSU but he gave me approval.

No one at the event knew I had the ring in my pocket.

After the clock read 0:00, I got on my knee and asked her to marry me and get a ring just like the LSU football team.

It was

and

My friends were like , , , , ,and

I was there!!!

1. Got tired of hearing Boomer Sooner and their gay song

2. Had my first hurricane....and 2nd and 3rd at Pat O's until I puked. (Also had my pic taken with Toby Keith and Kevin Faulk)

3. Did it up right by partying 2 nights before the game and had time to recover.

4. Saw a guy get thrown out of Pat O's and resisted arrest withy the NOPD and he paid the price when they threw him down in the curb and busted his head open.

Loved all the experience!!!!
