Is there another kind? I've never heard of someone being INTENTIONALLY ignorant. You either know/understand something or you don't.

Many people remain intentionally ignorant of things. It's simply a choice not to learn about something. But, the distinction is only an indictment if the subject is shomething that the ignorant person should have known about. Example: I'm not about to read that article, so I am intentionally ignorant of it's contents.
