According to story in the Advocate this morning. Everyone had a chance to say their peace per Hornsby.

One interesting note from the article was that Q said CJJ had asked him in recent games to run the offense and be a facilitator. But after the WF game CJJ scratched that and asked that he start being more aggressive again.

More cliffnotes needed to make a constructive response. .. Is he going to turn them loose and let them play? I wish they'd start pressing again.

Love Quarterman but he is killing us recently. Effort seems to be an issue at times. Nothing like he was last year.

Hopefully they talked about Simmons being more aggressive and demanding the ball.

Yeah, not much insightful info in the article, only two players quoted, Hornby and Q. Hornsby said every player was allowed to speak their mind but gave no particulars.

I agree Namari, I'm not asking for 40 minutes of pressing but the few times we've done it we've been fairly effective I thought, but we've seen it much less than I expected.

Also, really don't understand why Epps didn't play more last game.

Yeah and with the depth this team has it makes sense to press and try to creat turnovers and fatigue the other team both mentally and physically....I mean this team is a legit 9 deep without even considering minutes from Malone, Robinson, and Bridgewater...Use all that guard depth to your advantage and wreak some havoc.

Simmons looks very mortal recently. Guy has been way over hyped. He needs at least 2 yrs of college. Money talks and Daddy has to protect his investment.

Yeah the Atlanta Braves had a lot of team meetings last year, too.

Agreed, especially since we seem unable to execute man defense consistently. Force some action, force some aggressiveness and don't wait for the inevitable defensive breakdowns in half-court man defense to rear their head, as they all too often have this year.

The zone was effective for a while against WF, but I think maybe only because they did not expect it, we've hardly played it this year. Once they got their feet on the ground they started to shred our zone late and forced us back to man, which they also shredded.

Last 3 games he's averaging 22.6ppg, 8.6rebs, 5assists, and is shooing 66% from the field... Very mortal.

I'm really not sure what the problem is,really hoping they just haven't "Jelled"yet.

The problem right now is the guards aren't getting it done, Simmons gives them ample opportunities and they don't cash in, 2/14 from 3 is garbage.

Gray and epps are good for off the bench spark but either Sampson or tone need to be able to score off the bench.

This type of meeting should have taken place after the Houston or Charleston debacle. Basketball is a game of effort moreso than any sport and this team lacks effort on the defensive side.

Disappointing in that one would have thought the trip to Australia would have served as a great opportunity to define roles and "jell".

Sure a couple of pieces were in flux, but Hornsby played in Australia. Just frustrating.

So he has a good box score. The objective is to win games. How many games has he won?
