..yesterday?
Tears plantar fascia, proceeds to throw for 753 yards, 6 TDs and 0 INTs over two games.
Manning can't even get his arse on the field.

I think Brees is playing in dangerous territory. Imagine the threads and irate people IF Drew Brees were to get injured worse while playing injured.

If it truly is a ruptured fascia, he can't do any more damage to it.

I'm going to go with the doctors and medical staff's opinion on this one. He went to one of the top specialists in the country for hisn opinion. He was cleared to play.
He's looking at a 6-8 week rehab after this if done properly. And it'll be done properly with his work ethic

True.
I sure as shite am no doctor so I'd always go with what they say.

Payton said if he was at risk for further injury he wouldn't play him
I don't know if I believe that, but Brees looked great. Also, if it is a partial tear, they may actually want him to completely tear it.
One of the issues with rehabbing it is that the partial tear doesnt heal right, so they'll sometimes go in and surgically tear it. This is according to my.sister who is a PT

The guys I know who have had partial tears were ecstatic when they finally managed to tear it completely.
The pain on the partial tears is constant, and you only get relief after you fully tear it or fully rehab it.

Brees is younger and not nearly as big as Manning, and was already way more mobile at any point in his career. Could have something to do with it

Brees is hot right now.
The last three games, he's 8 TD, 0 INT's with a completion percentage of 69.8%.

If Drew plays for 3-4 more years and Manning retires at the end of this season he will be the all-time career record holder in three major categories:
Passes Completed
TD Passes
Passing Yards
He has the most passing yards per game this season and he's clearly not done yet and not the problem with the Saints. The salary cap hit from his contract is not part of the "dead money" problem either. We have Byrd, Gallette, Jimmy and the front office to blame for that.
I'd love to see him stick it out with the Saints 'til he retires and break all the records. The past two seasons prove were no longer an elite team and wont be soon but as long as he is here the Saints will remain in the limelight.

BREES IS IRON MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

Anyone else think this could mean Brees is on his way out?? Wanting to "finish strong" with his saints career and not leave the fans pissed off??

Actually, his arm strength compared to Manning has more to do with it than anything else.
Manning can't play (anymore) without his bottom half being healthy. What little arm strength he has left is generated from his lower half. Last year, he went into the tank when he hurt his quad. This year, without that foot, he just can't get the ball downfield.
Brees on the other hand can play on his toes and still deliver the ball well enough.
I'd be willing to bet that Manning is tough enough to play. In fact, he did. The problem is that he can't be effective and that was proven in the KC game.

Nope. He's talked about this mindset before

You do realize the last 2 opponents are Godawful? You bring up nerdy fantasy football stats for Christ sakes. Brees has always been a pompous dick going back to his HS days in Austin. I'd take Manning over him anyday. Grow a pair dude
