Lowe column on the Bulls today. Some interesting parallels between their struggles on offense and what is happening in New Orleans.

Plus this bit in his roundup section:

But with Meeks still recovering, expect the Pistons to sniff around available wings as trade season heats up -- perhaps using Brandon Jennings and a protected 2016 first-rounder as bait. This franchise is desperate to feel the playoffs again. Keep an eye on Eric Gordon once the Pelicans punt the season.

well if Gordon returns a player and a pick you do that if you are the pels in a hot second. Jennings expires after this year also. not sure that's a legal trade though as Jennings only makes 8MM, Pistons would have to send more salary

Jennings was playing really well before he got hurt and they made the jackson trade

Thanks, I guess the encouraging thing is Aldridge thinks Asik can be easily moved in the offseason, which wouldn't surprise me considering the cap increase. Are you going to spend $15 on an $8 million Free Agent for the next 4 years or $12 on an $6-$8 million player for the next 3 years by absorbing Asik?

Lawson and Morris both seem like low commitment risks. Lawson has a voidable contract and if Morris goes to jail then I assume he comes off the books too. What I don't like about the trade is it gets rid of all of our SFs. I guess you could do Gordon to OKC for Morrow, Singler, McGary and Novak.

Lawson/Ish
Holiday/Mayo/Morrow
Tyreke/Singler/Babbitt
Morris/McGary/Novak
AD/Plumlee

I still see a square peg gumming up the works though. Unless this 41.4% from 3 by Tyreke is a change and not a mirage. David Wesley seems pretty confident in straight up and down Tyreke, and it is a noticeable change in his form. If Tyreke can hit wide open corner 3s he might be able to play SF and be effective without the ball.
