Baton Rouge just can’t be beat. At this moment, there are 47 former LSU Tigers playing in the NFL. Therefore, when you take into consideration that the school’s athletic department generated $133,679,256 in total revenue, you quickly realize that LSU is producing one superstar for every $2.8 million. And to think there were some people who thought firing head coach Les Miles was the way to go. That’s hilarious.

What a weird and pretty much useless metric.

But hey, I'll take it.

So his argument is that although LSU is annually stacked with NFL talent, the fans are crazy for expecting more wins?

His argument is that if it wasn't for Les recruiting them, they wouldn't be here in the first place.

Or the other part of the argument is that Coach Miles develops NFL talent. In any event, every fan wants LSU to win it all. So before the bashing begins, we should all want writers that put LSU as number one-- even if you hate the argument or reasoning-- it's good publicity-- unless you are NOT a tiger fan.

Everyone knows Miles can recruit. It's his schemes and game day coaching people are fed up with. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for many years, I can't do it anymore.

See, to me this is one of the biggest arguments for getting rid of Les. All that NFL talent, with nothing to show for it other than 5 straight losses to Bama and every year but 1 since '07 finishing as a mid tier SEC team. And in that 1 year we got embarrassed in the biggest game of Miles's career.

So, we'd have just as many championships with or without them.

It really doesn't mean much to get loads of talent every year when there is the continued failure to coach them up to their potential.

The other thing this article overlooks is that LSU is getting all this NFL talent because the players are moving through here so fast that we constantly have immediate openings for freshmen on the field. Nothing will change until someone stops or at least slows the bleeding of talent every year.
