The fact that he hasn't been offered drives me fricking crazy. He's too good to go without an offer.

What is this "forward pass" that you speak of???

But yeah seeing him a Syracuse commit is a little troubling (for now). I wonder how much damage control we're doing with the Franks debacle when we passed on the in-state talent for our "sure thing" from Florida.

Scott has wheels though and seems to have a respectable arm. I'd love to see him or another of our in-state QB's give a nod to LSU and stay home.

I just got home from zachery vs ehret game. Scott was not that impressive tonight. Looks short with a weak arm. Missed a lot of open receivers in first half and receivers yard after catch helped his stats

He was not impressive in the sense that I left thinking he should have an offer from LSU. However, he is a good athlete. Getting him would be similar to Paul Turner. I don't think he would be a starter at QB and would fall down the depth chart at receiver.

Questions:

- are you old enough to remember watching Herb Tyler? (I was at the 1997 UF game)
- is this the only game you've personally seen him play in? (Myself 5 games)
- is there not a legitimate position on the field for his athleticism (I.e., kickoff ST, slot receiver (like Josh Reed), etc.)?
- why must we lose yet another state POY to another school?

He's going to freaking KILL IT in Dino Babers offense!

All I can hope is that LSU offers him.

5'11 is short lol!! And the fact that he's 205 doesn't add to the appearance of length. He's thick. LMBO! But seriously, here's my 2cents on last night.

I don't know about a weak arm. I saw him throw from the right hash down the left side line deep on the rope mid way through the 4th and it was dropped. Went 7 of 14. There wasn't a lot of throwing. Threw a few nasty slants and middle seams that seemed to have gas on it. Threw a perfectly timed corner route, that WR took to the house. Over shot 3 deep balls no doubt, but no INTs against the best defense in the state. Oh and 87 yds rushing against a defense that had only given up 21 pts through the playoffs. Given the circumstances, it was rather impressive. And Bruh, he just wins, and doesn't cost his team with dumb mistakes. I've said before, that who cares if he gets a LSU offer, but dude can play. It was a pleasure to see him close this thing out in style. 3000+ passing 1995 rushing 61 TDs.

Yes. I am a 97 Zachary grad. Seen him a lot. Love him to death. I'm just giving my honest assessment.

We definitely don't want raw talent that needs to be coached up. Les can only succeed if QB is good independent of the coaching staff. Gonna have to pass I'm afraid.

Not so fast Blood - I agree we don't need a project. But the kid had a VERY solid game against THE best Defense in the state. But check passing stats. 64.7 % completions 135 QBR only 5 INTs through 15 games. Played all 5A opponents (except for a good Calvary Squad).

Statistically he has fared better than all LSU targets. Only Duece Wallace is close in total yards. You gotta ask yourself, how would you feel about this kid if he were 6'3"?

He's been deemed to short to play for lsu by the staff.. They also pissed off quite a few people in the way they've handled this kid..

why do people have to use this fricking name every time a shorter QB recruit comes up?

and look at his offer list, its not like LSU is snubbing an SEC level talent in their backyard. Syracuse is one of his few p5 offers. I get he's a local talent and you'd like to see him play here but there's probably a reason not many power 5 schools are offering, they may kind of know what they're doing.

Who was the QB from catholic that ended up at Northwestern this board was up in arms about LSU not offering? How'd that work out?
