My comment was directed towards the OP and those always chanting "next year". We're on the same side buddy.

Who cares? It doesnt even mean anything anymore. It's not about the best player in college football anymore it's who is the best person playing in the playoffs. It just gives ESPN something to talk about.

Yep.

Since the state of Louisiana's funding for LSU is laughable these days, let's just officially change the name to Next Year University.

And ... I think you're being unrealistic.

You're thinking there's going to be a motivated, angry LF.

He won't sit out next season, but I think you'll see a LF who knows he has nothing left to prove at this level, will be resigned that he can only do so much in Les Miles's offense, and will be extremely careful to avoid injury one year away from NFL millions.

And I won't blame him.

By mutual consent between LF and the coaching staff, you'll see his touches go way down next year, and you'll see a lot more of Guice, Brossette, and Williams, if DW doesn't transfer.

The Heisman is the most over rated award in any sport. It is a team award. The best player on one of the top 3-5 teams in the nation gets it, not the best player in football.

Someone had a stat comparison of Henry to Fournette, and Buga beat him in just about every category playing two less games. The fact that Fournette didn't even get invited to go or finish in the top 5 is ridiculous.

If he wins it means our QBs are terrible which means we lose 3-4 games. Which means he can't win.

I think what people actually mean is we are running the ball too much. However, if we can get him involved more in the passing game, you can kill two birds with one stone.

he has never ran it more than 31 times. Thats not what they mean.

The more likely event is that Guice gets more involved and Fournette won't have the touches to win it.

I really like Guice, but i think he is more likely to take carries from Williams (if he is here) than LF7. There are enough carries out there for 2 guys to have a good amount of carries.

Fck the Heisman. Gary basically gave the award to Derrick Henry with his biased comments the Bama game. I honestly believe if this award was for the best player, then nobody was close.

Henry "broke" the SEC rushing record, but how many attempts and games did it take to do that. I hope Leonard goes ape sht next year, breaking plenty of records, and turns down the Heisman.

I agree with you, 100%... But I don't think he wins the heisman... Dude will be a 1st round top 5 or 10 pick, but no heisman... I'm going to go out on a limb and HOPE he leaves with an SECC... Obviously a NC would be great, but you gotta look at someone like AP. Dude was the best in CF but didn't sniff a heisman. The award is a popularity contest and is no where near what it use to be. With or without, buga will be just fine...
