Surprised to see Lane Kiffin making only making $680,000. I thought for sure he would be really close to a million.

He had no business getting that job. Saban threw him a life preserver. The Lane Kiffin effect is failing upward constantly and always getting an undeserved safety net. Good on Saban for recognizing a bargain, though.

No because other teams pay based on merit and give you an incentive to a better job. We just pay people based on if their steaks are butterflied well.

I wonder if he had a buyout with USC? Could be the reason why he is paid so little?
