Just curious, but what is that pile of stuff there in the pic? Don't look like corn and I didn't know deer liked grits, if that's what it is? I like that feeder on the pine, too. Never thought about puttin one up like that, though. Turkey can't get to it. Great lookin piece of huntin land, too! I see why OG was worried about the tow truck messin up that road!

As webby said, that's rice bran,,, but, that ain't the road,, it was a food plot lane before it stayed underwater for too long. The road is a lot worse, a lot!!

When you pour out that rice bran in a big pile like that, what happens to it when it gets rained on? Does it warsh away? Does it get all gooey? Or is it kinda like a corn pile? I've never seen rice bran before, so I have no idea how big the "bran" is. Gonna hafta do some research on it. Feed stores up here don't carry it.
ETA: Just looked up some pics of rice bran. Looks like the hull off a grain of rice to me? Amirite?
