This team appears moderately talented.

They are on pace to clinch the #1 seed in the West in early March
They could realistically have every locked up with 15+ games left to play if the Spurs hit any kind of slump this year. They'll have their division clinched earlier than any team in history.

Its honestly unfair that they have Thompson and Green on top of Steph-- its like one of those teams you'd build on NBA 2K in fantasy draft- "Hmmm.. I wonder what happens if I just draft the best shooter at each position"-- to have those guys- legitimately Top 10-Top 15 shooters in the league, alongside the greatest shooter who ever lived just isn't fair.
The way you beat jumpshooting teams is by them having an off night since those kinds of teams tend to be streaky (see Duke in the years Coach K doesn't have a big man)-- they can beat anyone but usually can't be consistent over a 7 game series, but with the Warriors-- if Steph is off (which basically happens once a month at this point, it can't be overstated how off-the-charts unprecedented his play is) then Draymond or Klay is on, if one of them is off then Steph will drop 40 on like 15 shots.

Put it this way- last years team statistically was a top 10 team in league history, just outside the top 5 likely-- this years team is almost without parallel. They aren't playing against the league, they're playing against History.
Just finished watching game-- I'm DVRing random regular season games at this point because hey why not DVR every Warriors game.
So....once he's across halfcourt is there a shot Steph could take other than being say triple covered where it wouldn't be a good shot- I mean if he throws up a half courter I'd be like 45% sure it goes in.

He's literally in range as soon as he crosses the halfcourt stripe. And that's not an exaggeration. That is absurd.

Truth.

My Rockets have already lost more games than this year's Warriors will.

HOU will lose less games in the playoffs.

See, now this I tend to agree with.
Houston will lose 4 in the first round.
The Warriors will probably drop at least one in the Semi's.They'll probably drop 2 to the Spurs in the Western Finals and 2 to the Cavs in the NBA Finals.

Spurs will go in so dry on the Rockets.

That core isn't championship level anymore, couldn't get it done v the spineless Clips last season now they're another year older. Their best win this year is...??? Memphis? Yea not too impressive.

Which the Rockets lost to twice?
How can you talk trash about the Spurs for beating them twice and then turn around and say the Rockets will lose less games in the playoffs than the Warriors after losing to them twice?
Posted on 12/9/15 at 9:15 am to SLafourche07
It's a combination of not impressing me at the end of last season, that core is just too old(heavily weighted) and losing to the only legit teams they've played to start this season(OKC, CHI)-more of an observation doesn't mean a whole lot in the overall eval.
quote:HOU hasn't hit their stride they will be better than SAS when the playoffs start. Just be patient bro.
