I'm spit balling here. You could try using C1V1=C2V2, where C1 is the current specific gravity and V1 is the current volume. C2 is the new specific gravity and V2 is the new volume which would total 316.5 gallons. So add 1.5 gallons fresh water.

We all have cancer, it's no excuse for giving out bad information in a chemistry thread.

Called the Mud Engineer on tour, give me a couple min and hell have the answer.

What is the specific gravity of the h2o being added?
I just checked my RODI water with the hydrometer. Reads 1.000

It's not bad.
Another post has same answer.
I don't think maintaining a saltwater aquarium takes as many variables into equation that you put out there.
Here's another variable.
My cancer has cancer.

I can't imagine 63 gallons being right. I'm thinking 1.53 may be in the ballpark. Unless someone else can answer with confidence, I'll try that then measure after an hour.

add 1.5 and see where you are at after an hour, three people gave a ballpark in that area.

You sure your cancer doesn't have AIDS? You probably got some gay cancer.

You sure know a lot about gay cancer.
Care to share something with the rest of us?

Ok, I dumped 1.5 gallons of RODI water in the sump. I'll test it in an hour after it turns over and report back.

Thats actually exactally what the ME here said. 1.5bbl to cut back a 7.4bbl tank.
So 63.9 gal

If I'm right, it's because of my chemistry degree. If I'm wrong, it's because my degree is from LSU.

I dont think I'm right.
We'll see.

You have a refractometer?
Posted on 12/7/15 at 9:03 pm to AubieALUMdvm
I would recommend small water changes to decrease it. changing it in one dose will cause more trauma than it being at 30 pp.
