Bruce Feldman- "As expected, big staff shake-up coming at #USC. Am told much of the Trojans D staff is expected to be out."

I believe Orgeron has worked with Clay (USC HC) before and has a good relationship. With DC spot open, there is a good possibility he may leave.

EDIT: Changed title.

If it's a step up like DC I could see it. If it's a lateral move I doubt he leaves a school within an hour or so of his home that gave him a shot this year to go to Cali.

Ok, USC ( Pat Haden ) burned him a few yrs ago by not naming him HC after a successful interim stint. Not to mention, whatever USC offers in salary, LSU will match...

As long as Haden is there, he will not likely go back as a defensive staff member. Haden didn't believe in him as a head coach. I don't think it was just Haden that felt he wasn't a "West Coast" guy. This will come down to money and we need to do everything we can to keep him.

One of the other things that the beautiful minds behind the Miles coup accomplished was to communicate that while we love Orgeron as a dl coach and recruiter, we probably would not consider him for DC. You reap what you sow. Orgeron is an ambitious and proud man. Pride works against USC, but their AD is probably gone too, so ambition may win out.
