In a bit of a strange coincidence, I watched John Wick two nights ago and then last night clicked on Blue Ruin at random. Both are revenge flicks with incredibly different styles. I don't want to give away too much because I think I enjoyed the film so much because I had no idea what to expect.

Would recommend.

This genre is probably my favorite film genre at the moment.

we had a thread like last week about blue ruin. it lied dormant for a year or 2 and i guess it's back

solid revenge flick. not amazing. well above bad. really good movie if you're in a negative state of mind and want some grit

if you want a movie in the same vein but a completely different setting from either of the movies in the OP, watch the dark valley
