i just got thru reading this . makes a lot of sense to me. yall read and comment.

LINK

this part i so agree;

One of the biggest recent complaints from LSU fans has been a lack of ingenuity on offense. Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron just completed the final year of a three-year contract, and there has been no word on his future.

LSU has finished seventh, ninth and seventh in the SEC in total offense in Cameron’s three years. The past two have featured inconsistent quarterback play and Leonard Fournette. The first year featured an NFL quarterback (Zach Mettenberger), two NFL running backs (Jeremy Hill and Alfred Blue) and two NFL stars at wideout (Odell Beckham, Jr., and Jarvis Landry

start with new ways. do things that fit the talent and attrack the talent. kids know when guys play in the nfl. thats their dream. get a pro style offense going.

I thought this looked strange so I went and checked. 2013 LSU averaged 453/ypg, but that was a stellar year in the SEC for offenses. That same YPG would have given LSU #1 and #3 rankings in the SEC in 2014 and 2015.

Yea, that was the year of the QBs in the SEC... Manziel, Murray, McCarron, Mett, Shaw

Air raid offense sells tickets, defense wins championships.

You forgot M for Marshall. Turns out he was pretty good for Auburn in hindsight.

Yeah I'm not faulting Cameron for freaking 2013. That was a good offense.

Honestly, the only thing I can fault Cameron for (besides QB development) is all the deep, slow developing WR routes we run almost exclusively that really don't seem like high percentage throws.

Granted, we often have Fournette or someone open underneath and Harris never checks down to him

Wonderful cliche. It actually takes a combination of defense and offense to win consistently at a high level.

And no one's wanting an air raid offense, just a functioning one that can move the ball and score points.

I bet Miles doesn't let one staff member go. He's gonna keep. Bradley Dale Peveto, Cameron, and Steele and they all suck.

There is no excuse for not beating any team by less than 2 TDs with that group.

I have been preaching Jeff Brohm from the get go. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this would be a good fit

Great article. I'd be happy with most of those guys. I would not want the Memphis guy b

Joe Robinson for special teams coordinator. If you have to keep Peveto for recruiting assistant, so be it.

Can we add a separate QB's coach? Not sure if teams are limited in the number of assistants they have. I do note from watching the Iron Bowl the commentators mentioned there were 14 up in the box helping out those down on the field. Not sure how many were on the payroll.

Haven't heard of any of them since I only follow LSU and the SEC.

However, in 1999, I hadn't heard of Saban.

So very tired of run up the middle, run right, run left, punt.

Certainly there would be a need to take a look at some things based on the back end of the season. Revitalization though is a strong word. Rediscovering our offense would be something I think we'd enjoy. The want remains to get the ball to a very capable back. If we can compliment him with some quality throws, I'll tell ya I think we're gonna like where we're at.

Prove he didn't say it.

Nice article, however Cam Cameron will remain offensive coordinator.

I was (and am) on the Helton train, but Brohm would be an outstanding hire...
