Put the owner away for life.

1. I'm a softy when it comes to kids.
2. I don't google stories. I usually find them on Drudge. That's where I came across this story.

Sure, but it's my kid, not a toy rope. I know they are strong. Poke their eyes out, choke them to death, use your keys or anything else nearby and stab them, do something
Even a good size, strong adult male would have a hard time fighting off 4 pit bulls bent on attacking. Gun or a knife would be necessary in most instances.

You ever seen the strength of even one (much less four) pitbull?
yes. dads shepherds and labs bite harder than a pit.

You got receipts on the dogs makeup? Sounds like they were fighting dogs, probably neglected, abused and untrained anyway. No different than a pack of wolves.

Exterminate the breed.
I'm serious. Done reading these stories.

I would agree, which is why i think the kid was pretty much dead before he was ever "dragged" out of her arms.
4 year olds shouldn't be out playing "in the street" without close adult supervision.
My 4 year old rarely goes a second outside without my eyes on him, unless he's in our fenced in backyard.
Not to bash the mom, but the parenting here most likely sucked and was a contributor to this terrible event happening.

gotcha! I wasn't trying to be a dick, just couldn't figure out your searches. Drudge and DM are famous for these kinds of stories.

Right. What kind of parents walks down a sidewalk with their 4 year old child?

Yeah. and everyone of them tears me up. I can't stand to hear of a child being harmed, abused, or neglected.

I opened this thread hoping that the title was sarcasm and I'd see a pic of a boy playing with some dogs

So you know the whole story?
the mother was walking down the sidewalk with her child next to her, never saw the dogs as they came out of nowhere to snatch the child from her before she could pick him up?
I just don't believe that 4 dogs jumped up and grabbed the child out of her arms. Sure it could have happened. I just have a hard time believing that.

I know what they reported. And they reported that she was walking down the street with her child.

That's what they're reporting.

Based on what? Are you familiar with this breed? They're entirely capable of snatching a small child from a woman, especially when there's 4 of them, and killing the child within seconds before she can anything to stop them.

That is relevant to an extent, but I doubt either stands a good chance against an adult pit. Maybe the sheperd?

if you want that kind of dog fine, but there should law... if the dog is caught outside the home and un attended it should be taken and put down and the owner barred from owning another one. these stories have only become more frequent.
personally I have NO sympathy for the dogs, they are a breed that is known for its sudden and violent attacks.
its no always the owner that is violent towards the dogs that make them way. The breed is naturally aggressive and violent.

wtf do people keep thinking they latch on or have locking jaws for? they have the same functioning jaws as any other breed.
