It's not even remotely trashy. I mean I guess if you were hanging your tit completely out and dripping milk down your breast and flopping your tits around slinging milk everywhere, that would be trashy. But normal breastfeeding is not trashy.

most of the ones that "can't" just didn't try hard enough, of course there are exceptions

This is true. 2% of women are unable to produce milk. Sorry that your wife was in the 2%. That is unfortunate but it happens.

No Fin.

Sometimes the baby just can't latch on for some reason.

This is why I didn't breast feed. I tried but when the nurse came in and squeezed his little foot that had just had a needle prick in it for a test, just so he would open his mouth. I told her to GTFO and give me a bottle.

Sometimes I forget where I am.

I should have expected that.

I agree, but they find it offensive. They expect you to not be attracted to boobs, and that they're simply a vessel for a meal.

There is nothing weird about this and there’s no difference in me feeding my baby with my breast than you feeding yourself with a spoon.

Except your saggy milk-tits are out in a restaurant.

Earlier today I posted this picture of my son and I breastfeeding uncovered in a public restaurant. In the picture, it appears I'm staring off into the distance. In reality, I'm staring into the eyes of a woman staring at me. She is looking at me with disgust and shaking her head with judgement in an attempt to shame me and indirectly tell me without words that I am wrong and need to cover myself.

She should have walked over there and squirted her in the face.

Our first one wouldn't latch. Took a lot of work (and stress) and time with a lactation consultant, but the little sucker finally got the hang of it. Breastfed for a year. The second and third kids didn't have any problems.

Exactly but they will latch eventually, just takes time, effort, and patience. Look at the female poster above, she didn't even make it out of the hospital before she threw in the towel. That happens all the time. Some start "supplementing" with formula, that is the kiss of death. Not sure I know anyone that "supplemented" and didn't quit soon after. It's hard, it takes time and patience and if you go back to work you're a pumping machine, however it's the best thing for the baby.

I'm not judging. If anything, I can understand throwing in the towel. Seeing how hard it was for my wife.... If it were me, I would have quit.
