Cam Cameron with Drew Brees:
Yards YPG TD INT
2002 - 3,284 205.2 17 16
2003 - 2,108 191.6 11 15 (11 Games)
2004 - 3,159 210.6 27 7 (15 Games)
2005 - 3,576 223.5 24 15

CC with Philip Rivers
Yards YPG TD INT
2006 - 3,388 211.8 22 9 (Third Year with SD)

CC with Joe Flacco
Yards YPG TD INT
2008 - 2,971 185.7 14 12
2009 - 3,613 225.8 21 12
2010 - 3,622 226.4 25 10
2011 - 3,610 225.6 20 12
2012 - 3,817 238.6 22 10

This guy can develop QBs, so all those out there that want to say otherwise, this is for you.

Not saying he is a great offensive mind, but he does know how to bring along QBs.

There was an obvious improvement from 2012 to 2013 with Mett.

Maybe Harris can have the same improvement?

Although Mett did get better during the season of 2012, while Harris regressed.

The issue is those guys were already pro's who had been through college and were already developed to a degree. Can he develop one from scratch ie high school to college level. That is the real question.

I don't care about NFL success.

Can he put college quarterbacks in the best position to succeed? I'm not really sold.

well he did ok with Drew Brees, Joe Flacco, and Philip Rivers (actually don't see a lot of improvement in those stats from year to year) but we don't have QB's anything like those guys. So far with the QB's he's had to work with at LSU he hasn't done' much.

We need a white QB just say it

It's cool I'm black and I think so also our offense isn't gonna work for dual threats that aren't already good on the pocket. He can't create pocket awareness and accuracy.

So what is his excuse for having Harris get worse s the year goes?

If Cameron is kept, it is pretty simile:

--> GET A QB COACH - just to work with QBs mechanics, thought process, reading the D

It is fing ridiculous we can't put a competent QB on the field.

Weird, so quarterbacks that were good in college, come into the NFL, and as they get more experience, their stats get better.

Groundbreaking stuff. Well done

All this shows me is that CC can put together a pretty good offense around a developed, NFL QB.

We're talking about guys that spent 4 years in college developing. Might they have improved a bit under CC? Sure, but this really doesn't mean he can develop a college QB straight out of high school. He hasn't shown that ability.

That was in the NFL. Those guys were highly rated coming out of college. Mett is the only one that he has had success. Next year, I know, will tell, as either Jennings or Harris will have a second year playing. If neither one develops, then we can put that myth to bed.

Those are nice stats and nice improvements but there is one thing I don't see anyone talking about. Yes coach cam did a good job with those 3 PRO STYLE DROP BACK QB's! Cam may have all the necessary skills to develop that type of qb. HARRIS IS NOT A DROP BACK PRO STYLE QB! there are only 3 options.

Change the QB style to fit the offense (this is what they have been doing and it's not working).

OR change to a different type of offense to fit your QBs style of play (dual threat/ spread) which may require a different O coordinator.

OR find a different QB to fit the style of offense you want to run.

This is why Mett has been the only successful QB so far under this system. He was already a pro style drop back passer.
