You willing to move? There are some that will hire you and send you to train on site and then bid into a pool to move into operations.
I know a buddy got hired on at Axiall here and they are sending him through their operators course and if the tests are passed then he can move into operations out of the labot pool. I think he's making like $20/hr until he can bid up. I know people say stay away from there, but getting into some operations experience without school has to count for something.

Must be Monsanto, saw they were hiring last week.
