How much difference is the 4K Ultra Smart vs the regular? Looking to buy a new one and seeing if the difference is worth it.

Just get a standard LED HDTV. They are just fine.

Spend the extra money on a big green egg

There's a pretty decent difference in picture quality between the regular and 4K (for the better). If you're willing to spend the extra on the 4K, go ahead and do it. If you use streaming services a lot, I think both Prime and Netflix stream in 4K but it may be extra?

Check Best Buy online today. They had some good in person deals this weekend.

It's not truly a smart TV unless you can sync Sunday's NFL package with your wife's silent treatment.

4k is going to have a much better picture quality, but there is little 4k media out now.

I'm curious about this as well.

How much stuff is available in 4k?

The best picture I've seen is a big plasma, which aren't common anymore.

I don't think its necessary to own a 4K tv now, but if you are in the market for a tv, it would be wise to consider 4K for the sake of future proofing.

Do not buy a 4k TV unless looking at upscaled 720p and 1080i/1080p doesn't bother you. Cable/satellite isn't even 1080p, and there's currently about 5-6 Netflix shows streaming at that resolution. Even when the inevitably add more shows how much Netflix do you watch? If not much, your only hope is UHD Blu Ray. You certainly won't be gaming at 4K.

4k is pointless if you do not have a 4k receiver.
