Yeah but because the dollars are totally separate (university and athletics), it's very inappropriate, misleading, and a conflict of interest to pass up an opportunity for progress and justify it with academic finance politics.

It's truly a conflict of interest for Alexander. And thus, very inappropriate for him to kill anything of this nature on the athletic side.

I think McKay is doubling down to back his claims that this was a done deal with Jimbo. I just don't find it believable that you had Jimbo locked in and the president comes in at the 11th hour and crushes it.

Now I do think once Jimbo was lost he nixed firing Les. I think we'll look back on this day years from now and say "frick we could have had Tom Herman"
