How much can a coach fix accuracy? Kid is missing throws high school QBs make. He's not making terrible reads it just looks like he can't get them there. Hits very few in stride when he does complete them. Can this be fixed?

No! You either have the skills or you don't.

No. LSU is 8-3 with the worst QB in the country. They are in need of a transfer.

No.

He's been coached year round more than any LSU QB in history and there has been zero progress. Nothing personal, but he's not the guy.

It is troubling because when he is on, the receivers drop it. He has a pretty nice deep ball. The shorter the passes get, the worse he gets - it seems.

Cam was supposed to be a QB guru, but obviously not. Not sure Harris could be fixed anyway. Don't know where a QB is going to come from next season.

Tom Brady couldn't win the starting job in college but learned to be better. Cam Newton is getting better. Of course a guy can improve. To say that basic footwork and mechanics cannot be learned is ridiculous. The final piece, confidence in himself and the team must be in place in order to deliver on time and accurately. I'd bet if you played catch with him you'd be amazed how accurate he is but drop him into a tense game and his confidence gets shaky

Yes good coaching can fix Harris and every other QB LSU has ruined during Miles's tenure.

People who constantly give our QB's shite are missing the forest for the trees.

Year after year we bring in highly rated QBs and year after year they transfer or fall victim to our piss poor development.

If Lane Kiffen can turn a running back into one of the top qbs in the sec. Then someone can make Harris play past his potential.

Too many dumb asses do the same shite every year. We get a QB. He performs poorly then everyone is quick to throw them in the trash.

We start underclass QBs and expect them to look like Aaron Rodgers and force them in low percentage situations.

but can accuracy be taught? Some people just aren't accurate. Look at baskeball. No amount of coaching was going to make shaq an accurate free throw shooter.

Yeah, Brandon is a running quarterback with a strong arm slightly below average throwing accuracy.

I get all that. 3 springs, 1 season as a backup, a full year as a starter, a personal QB coach in Whitfield and you still have the same problems. What the hell are we doing wrong with this kid or any of the other QBs we've had? Is Cam that clueless? We struggle with simple throws.

Inside scoop that I'm getting is that the staff is hunting JUCO for a back-up plan next year at the very least. A Mettenberger type of situation, if you will.

The 2013 "year of offense" pleased the brass. They refer to it often. This officially goes into play from The Franks ordeal mixed by tonight's announcement.

I won't specify where or who is in the search.

The first thing the coaches need to do is get the buttons unstuck on his Play Station controller.

Every pass is a bullet.

It can't be taught it has to be developed through constant repetition. I am not going to pretend I know what goes on practice, but more time needs to be spent with the QBs and receivers to develop timing and chemistry.

I have faith in Harris he is wrapping up his first year as a full time starter as a true sophomore and started off hot, but went into a slump.

Harris success is fully dependent on the success of the run game but when our oline got injured and went to shite with sloppy play and drawing countless penalties, Harris's performance suffered also.
