Their is no way the administration will try to fire Les again after this debacle.
The Mack Brown yrs are upon us. Buckle up because it's gonna be a long ride

Nah. He has one year to produce.

All we can hope for is some change. Pray for the best

No way. If he doesn't change up the offensive scheme drastically, then he is gone pecans next season. We open up the checkbook for Tom Herman if he's not already at a big time program

agreed. He will probably save himself next year and go 9-3, 10-2. Then the wheels will come off after buga and crew leave. Will look like a child taking the training wheels off too soon

I fear that is so, hopefully he changes but we say that every year and we get the same shite show every season. Congrats LSU for buying yourself irrelevance for however long miles commands

I love Les Miles. He is a wonderful human being--he is the kind of person I would like to have coaching my son. He is also a very talented football coach. Most of what he does as a coach he does with excellence.
He has, however, reached the pinnacle of what he can accomplish at LSU given his approach to coaching the game. With Coach Miles leading LSU, we will win about 9 or 10 games a year--maybe we'll get 11 wins in some years, and others we'll have 8 wins. Maybe that is OK--after all, winning 9 or 10 games a year is pretty good, and it speaks well of his overall coaching approach. However, we will not regularly compete for national championships with Coach Miles at the helm of this program. He will continue to bring in extraordinary talent but will not get the most out of that talent. LSU will underperform with him as head coach.
It pains me to say this. He is a wonderful man who is perhaps one of the best representatives of LSU we have. But LSU is not playing modern-day football under his direction, and there are gaps in his otherwise-excellent coaching approach. We will continue to be very good while failing to compete regularly for the national championship as long as Coach Miles continues to do what he is doing. Perhaps he can change his approach, but I do not think that the track record suggests that he can. I don't know that I would go so far as to say that the Mack Brown era is upon us, but it is hard to dispute that the program is not on the right track.

He said in his presser that he really doesn't need to change anything. We're stuck.

Ya he even got snippy with em when they asked him about it. The engine isn't broken, in fact we have a great engine... Bleh...

Yep. We have basically said we are fine with competing for 3rd best team in the conference. I was amazed tonight in the stadium. People in my section who have cursed Miles for the past 2 years and booed loudly at his play calling were up cheering for him and giving him a standing ovation and chanting "Les"! Can anyone please give me one reason why we should expect anything to change?

Herman is gone to Texas next year, forget it. We had our chance and f**king blew it!

I was one of those people cheering for Les, out of respect for what he has done in the program. I want Les to be able to go out on a positive note. But if we want to have a team that can compete for the SEC title and for national championships most years, Les is not the coach to do it.

Last night served as a reminder of how incredibly short most people's memories are. They see Les the good family man, not Les the sleezy guy that on 3 occasions played LSU like a 2 dollar whore and milked the school for more money.
Yeah, and you know, the whole not letting your OC coach while you run a 1970's offensive scheme thing. The list for letting Les go is much longer than the list for keeping him, especially in the last 5 years.
Alleva should be gone for the way this was handled, but Les should be packing his bags this morning.

Unfortunately there are fans like CapperVin who can't enjoy LSU football and be happy.

Not just football, count baseball and basketball too.
