thanks for the good things you did here coach. like waves crest, everything eventually comes to an end. you ride the wave as long as you can and it was a wild ride but you and the teams did some good things for the school and us as fans.
i hope some way you can pull something off where you go off on your own terms, so to speak, because you don't deserve to get fired.
i'm excited about the future. you've brought so many good players into the program who will carry the torch into the next era. from the sounds of it our next coach is gonna be one of your former assistants so a little piece of you (along with the returning players and loyal recruits) will remain. you and your family will always be held in the highest of regards within the community of BR, the state of Louisiana, and the LSU family
here's to kicking A&M's arse Saturday.
FWIW i've been a n***tiger since 2006, but as a man, Les is the creme de la creme.

He reminds me of my dad.
Anyone that frequents the political board will understand how high of praise that is from me.
I love that dude!

My favorite Les moment was the Florida skip pass fake FG.
I love the way he claps like a seal.
I wish he had been head ballcoach at Michigan.

I hope we beat the shite outta aTm and the players give him a Gatorade bath and carries him out on their shoulders with les waving his hat in the air to the crowd.
Win or lose at this point, I would give him a standing ovation for his last game in Tiger Stadium.

Best ambassador you could ever dream of for your school. It has been a pleasure. It is tough to imagine LSU without Les Miles. I'm going to miss Les and I wish it wouldn't have gone down like this. He deserves better. I hope we will not regret this but I have a feeling we will.

Been the coach since I was 14. Grown to love the man, so many fond memories back in high school watching LSU football. I remember so many classic games that we pulled out, and staying up super late to just watch college football final talk about it back in the day. I can see the pain on his face when he's talking and its so awful to see. I stuck up for him many, many years, even last year.
With that said, ever since 2011 we've had nothing but let down after let down. It's time for a change. Thanks for all the memories growing up coach. Your tenure was a special one.

Once the board member opened his ignorant mouth it was over. I love what Miles has done here but it's time for a change.
This last 10 years has been the best era of lsu football ever.
Since he was hired
He has the 6th most wins of any FBS program.
He has the 7th best win% in sec history.
He has the #1 ooc win % in sec history.
He has the most weeks ranked in the top 25.
He has beaten more ranked teams than any program in cfb.
He has finished ranked in the top 25 8 of his 10 seasons ( with a real chance to make it 9 our of 11).
He has finished top 15 7 of his 10 seasons.
He has finished top 10 6 of his 10 seasons.
During his tenure he had the 2nd best grad rate in the sec behind only Vandy.
He accomplished these great numbers during the most successful era of sec football ever.
Here's to a great coach and an even better man.

I'll miss the goofy bastard.
I wish things had gone differently for Miles in the past few years. I hope he's successful wherever he goes next.
(And I'd do literal cartwheels if he somehow ended up at Rutgers.)
