I live in Waco and work at Baylor. He turned down both Tx Tech and Texas to stay at Baylor. I think he is done rebuilding programs. He also just bought a big ranch on the Bosque River. He will retire at Baylor and pass the baton to his son, Kendall. His offense might be a 'gimmick,' as some on this board have stated, but it would do much better than the crap currently being put on the field. LSU has been running that same toss-dive since I was a student there in the 80s.

Tx Tech =/= LSU, not even close.

And you know without a doubt he turned down Texas? Texas is also a different animal just based on how much glad handing has to be involved. Texas has a political/PR side that has to be handled as well as the football side. While the political/PR side exists at other big schools, its definitely not to the same degree it would be at Texas. As much as Texas loves football, they seem very indifferent most of the time. At LSU and most SEC schools, the fanbase lives and breathes college football.

Do I think Briles would come to LSU? No, but there are reasons there that could lead him to such a decision.

Briles is a Texan and a Baylor Bear. He is not coming to humid armpit of the world Baton Rouge. Sorry, just telling like it is.
