long time
you have questions? It's not a breed for everyone but I couldn't imagine a better companion

I've watched my dog hit the water at full speed to get a sip and it be below freezing. If he stinks he's getting a bath outside.

no sir, had one myself for many years.
just don't find that many people who have them. I miss my old hound- musky odor, slobber, vapid stares and all. He wasn't them most animated, certainly not the smartest. But i really enjoyed my time with him. Awesome dogs if you can handle them.

I've got a GSP. I was told you're not supposed to bathe them so I never have. If we're at the house in the city and she gets muddy somehow and I don't want that inside I just hose that part of her off. Never used soap on her though. She doesn't smell like labs do so it's not really an issue for me and her coat always looks great so it doesn't seem to be a need for her either.

In Louisiana you usually have enough warm days during the winter to not have to bath them when it's 40 or below. I usually put him in the shower with me though.

Lab jumps in the pool daily just because- don't have to worry about it. Has always been warm enough during some of the winter months for an outside bath for the heeler and beagle if needed.
