Because 1 got kicked off the team and one is still developing now. Mett was here for three years. He's more LSU than anyone else. The biggest issue at QB was he relied on a guy who was not highly rated out of high school in Jordan Jefferson so that's the kind of play we received. Lee was more highly rated, but lost his confidence and the coach's confidence when facing Alabama and Auburn (hell, any team with a stout defense).

Mett was great, but it took him until his senior year to really be good and even trusted fully. So like you said he was in the program here for 3 years and another for a year.. before he was even great.
In college football QBs can be great in their 2nd year.
