Ladder stand over looking alfalfa field in front, bean field behind with a creek bottom between us
I saw at least 30 deer in the field walking to the stand at 5am. Today is opening day for the three day season.

Made a quick hunt in Montegut this morning. Saw lots of birds but they wouldn't work. Brought a buddy from Buffalo and this was his first hunt. He was able to get 3 ducks all flying. We knocked down 7 but couldn't find one dogris. We went 7/7 on ducks we shot at. Not a bad first duck hunt.

Had a wounded doe with both its legs blown out come through the plot that a neighbor shot with a primitive rifle. I put it out of its misery with the bow. Helped the neighbor drag the deer and now back in the same lock on
