This is where you become a dumbass. Somewhere beneath the trolling, there is a smart poster.
You know damn well you chose the words you did intentionally, and you say stupid shite like this all of the time.
The Hawks are taking the game just as "seriously" with or without Davis. They are professional basketball players.
I think the words you are looking for are: You don't think they play the game differently if Davis is playing?

BS they are human, you don't think these guys get more excited and locked in to play Lebron v when they play the 76ers?

Thought last night's game was the one being discussed
It's not confusing at all. I suggested having the franchise player replacing the bench guy would lead to better results. You tried to imply that it wouldn't by saying ATL would take the game more seriously if AD were playing, ie a "more serious" ATL makes AD roughly equivalent to Luke Babbitt vs a "not serious enough" ATL. Mentioning AD's 43 points last week vs. Atlanta should have been all that needed to be said to tell you that your implication was ridiculous, but you wanted it spelled out for you, so here it is, hopefully you're less confused now.

Getting more excited =/= taken seriously.
Atlanta is a good team with veteran players. They would have adjusted the defense accordingly with AD, aka played differently, but I think they take the game just as seriously.
You're also implying that AD is a Lebron level player. Cool.

As messed up as it sounds Boom has been one of the staunchest supporters of the team so far this season.

Nah dude, playing against a player like Davis gives you super powers. I'll be sending a report to benson proving that NBA players don't really give their full effort against inferior competition. Once Tom adopts my proposal, The Pels will win a similar amount of wins with 10s of millions saved. It's brilliant!

And why do you think that is?

Still don't think you get it. IF Davis scored 43 on them last time then YES they would take the game more seriously if Davis is playing than if he's replaced by Babbitt. This is basic human nature. Pels lineup last night is a worse team than the 6ers when these guys play tough games night in and out it's only natural to let up you guard for a night when you get to play a group of guys that have less of a chance to beat you thn the 6ers no?

I am not denying that playing against Davis raises Atlanta's focus. What I am denying is your implied contention that the change in focus for ATL > the change in basketball ability of NOP.

Don't get caught up in emotion in my analyses like most here. I'm more even keeled, level headed.

Yes, butterfly effects make What If's a fruitless pursuit, that doesn't guarantee that I'm wrong. This team's better play the past 2 games has come from much better effort and execution on both sides of the ball, I find it hard to believe swapping AD for Babbitt would tip the scales in Atlanta's favor.

Dude, it is that simple.....

Never passes up an opportunity to shite on AD

Put it to ya like this bro..
Last season
CLE played Blazers twice
Lebron played in one game, Portland wins by 19. Lebron don't play CLE win by 5. That took 2 minutes to find. I could find countless more examples of this. You can't say just because PLAYER x would've played that the team would've won no matter who the player is. When you get to having 3-4 even 5 players out then you could mabye make a better argument. One player? NOPE. How do you know AD wouldn't have gone 4 for 20 or 3 for 12 like he has this season. That takes shots away from Bukcy Gordon who was 10-20 or Ryno who was a 7-16.

I never said that it was a given that if AD played that they would have won...What i did say that it does in fact hurt the team if the best player does not play.
Are you suggesting that Lebron not play anymore because of one game that the team played ok with out him?
Should Aaron Rodgers not have came back after Matt Flynn threw 6 tds???
it's basic logic and also basic common sense

That's not true. Would the Packers have been better that day with Rodgers over Flynn? You can't say. >>>

You make my point for me, in one game the team can be better without their best player than they woulda been with him. Over a whole season or an extended stretch, no of course they will be better with the best player. In a one game situation, nope can't say the same.
