My work carries me everywhere from the office, job sites, logging sites, strip pits, quarries, heavy equipment shops, and other areas like that. Needless to say, I go into areas where it can be a bit harsh on a watch. What say the OT on this for an everyday watch?

I wore a stainless version all throughout highschool.

Wakeboarding, skiing, snorkeling, everything.

Survived everything until I was in a refrigerated warehouse buying meat. It just died. Damnedest thing.

Fossil isn't great quality. It's kind of just cheap chinese crap. Buy a seiko or citizen. There are other brands in that price range that are pretty good, but citizen and seiko are probably the two biggest.

Well I do have to go out in the cold sometimes during the winter. But I'm never in a meat locker or something similar other than when I go into the beer cave to grab a case.

Cheap piece of shite

Just buy a G-Shock(assuming your budget based on a fossil watch)

I've got a couple of nice Citizen watches but I don't want to wear them to work because I'm afraid I'll damage them.

You can find seikos for 50-100 bucks

I'd choose that over a fossil every time.

Few things are more personal than buying a watch. You have to look at it every day. If you like it, go for it. For all those activities mentioned, I'd look into a g-shock, but that's just me.

Whatever you decide on, make you check Amazon for their price. That's where I got my Seiko and all my g-shocks.

This one was on sale at the Fossil outlet in Gatlinburg this past weekend. My wife bought it for me there while out shopping with her mom.

Well if you already own it, there's nothing wrong with it

I'm not a brand snob anyway. I've been wearing a fitness garmin watch for the last few months

I like the overall look of it. and it's comfortable. I'm not sure on the exact price she paid for it but I'm guessing somewhere around $50 to $150 depending on what sort of sale they had going on at the outlet. I tend to be rough on watches, especially when working. That's why I like having nice watches for times where I'm not working and nice, but less expensive watches for when I am working. I think this one is a good everyday fit. I was just curious what the watch experts here thought about it.

A g shock does sound like something that would work well for what you describe, but if you like it and already have it I'm sure it will be fine.
