I don't think he would sustain the same level that Miles has over the years
I mean...LSU kindof recruits itself. CBB has a hot wife...think about it.
He's done some nice things with the staff:
Smith as DC - Maybe lightning in the bottle last year. Not a big name and is a pretty good DC.
Enos - QB for Mich State and HC for CM. Great Playcaller
Pittman, Vernon Hargraves, Clay Jennings from TCU
His staff develops the hell out of guys. I like him a lot as a coach and a troll all in the same fat roll

since when in the last 10-15 years. If you want to go back to the early 2000 and 1990's then yeah.
LSU is probably in the top 5 universities that comes out of a kids mouth if you asked them to name the 5 best. LSU has a brand

Maybe so, but since he's been here Bielema has gotten more Louisiana players than we've ever had. Even if they didn't have LSU offers guys like Jared Cornelius, Santos Ramirez and Henre Toliver have been really good for us and Briston Guidry is committed.
I don't think he would have a problem with recruiting down there

right...mostly because of Miles

I can use Texas as an example of schools that "recruit themselves" as proof that schools, in fact, do not recruit themselves

Who said staff evaluations weren't important? Have you seen your recruiting base?
I think you're giving Miles too much credit on the recruiting trail...just my opinion again

and I think you are not giving him (and his staff) enough

that's cool. Obviously you've never been on this side of the recruiting fence...I get it
Curious if Miles could bring in Top 10 classes to Arkansas? My guess would be "negative ghostrider"

I doubt he could either
and I'm sure Beliema could bring in good classes at LSU
I just don't think he would sustain top 5 classes

When Miles retires, would you be happy if LSU successfully pursued him to replace CLM?
Nope.
But I tell you what I would do right now, as of today ...
If it were possible to trade Les Miles for Jimbo Fisher today--straight up, no questions asked--I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Yeah, I'd take him....and throw his fat arse overboard in the middle of the Pacific somewhere.
Why not just use the gulf of Mexico? It would take a lot of money to truck that big of a load all the way to the West Coast.

The guy is the biggest buffoon in college football!

I remember people saying this when LSU hired Nick Saban from Michigan State. Remember, Saban was 34-24 at Michigan State. Not exactly a stellar record.
Bert would need to go undefeated in his next 12 games to match this winning percentage. And at the time Michigan State's facilities and recruiting footprint were far inferior to Michigan; today they've somewhat caught up.
