Florida game has nothing to do with this post - Harris had more time to throw and set his feet than in this game, which I will give him benefit of the doubt in his inaccuracy on some otherwise easy drop off passes such as the two misfires to Fournette - and yes, I am a strong advocate of developing a better short passing game to keep the chains moving and control time of possession too. It just wasn't working for this game and i can only surmise that a receivers chances of catching a deep jump ball is every bit as good as trying to catch a misguided bullet from 5-10 yds with a DB or big LB in close range. I'm as critical as anyone of our coaches inability to develop the short pass with our QBs.

Come to think of it......weren't we essentially 3-3 on sideline deep routes assuming you call the pass interference in the end zone a catch??
