No way Mizzou players are striking if they are 5-1 in the SEC. The basketball team probably has high hopes for the season (as all teams do at the beginning of the season) and they aren't striking. The list of demands is ridiculous and the "problems" they are striking over are laughable.
That being said, stuff like this is probably going to happen more and more often. When public institutions get involved in social issues, insanity ensues.

Just when you think Missouri can't suck any worse
Congrats SEC, you're becoming the SJW conference

That makes no sense.

I am glad that i am not the only one that can see it.
Student athletes are students first, so who would be better to take a stand for a just cause than young students who are good members of society.
But if you let some people tell it, all they need to do is be docile and play football.

Answer this for me, do you agree with this statement
"On a serious note, can't wait to see these upstanding citizens serve my missouri friends biscuits at McDonalds or attempt to carjack them at intersections in Furgeson".
People in this thread seem to agree with this post more than mines, and this has to be the most racist thing i have read all day.

So has anyone figured out if it's all the players on FB team or just a select few being a vocal minority?
Also is this "organization" a recognized organization at MU?

But your generalization based on a bias seems to be fine.

i'd hope they do strike. what should their record have to do with them taking a stand?
think about this. WE give their (any) football team the power they have. WE attach importance to their games and talk about it here. WE make them the representatives of their universities over the average kid, over the doctorate candidates, over the frat stars. If WE didn't give them that power, they'd be the ultimate frisbee team
WE act like the world will stop spinning if they don't play

Do you or do you not agree with the post, it is a simple yes or no question.

What just cause are they standing up for, Shugg? Please enlighten me.

I'm really surprised that none of these concerns whatever they are have not been addressed by SAAC, which every school has.
