Out of all the seasons you choose to complain about our offense....
I can't believe we are running the ball with our heisman running back who gets 7ypc and then doing play action with a QB who doesn't throw interceptions...
I suggest you choose a new team.

Are you kidding me? That's why I ask the question, and it's a legitimate concern that on a wet field Miles is going to play it safe in fear of turning the football over.
Case in point... 2nd quarter UF game, Harris is on fire, the offense is creative and dominating. We come out in the 3rd playing not to lose. We did the same thing in the State game. And I'm not suggesting we not run the ball. Just don't run the same I formation plays straight at the line over and over and over again.

Coach Hallman, is that you?

Until we stop winning by an average of 16.3 points.

You have any numbers on the run/run/pass/punt stat?
Just curious how many time this year we've done that. Also curious how many times we've run/run/first down, or, run/first down, or, run/pass/TD, or....you get the picture.
BH was slinging it in a torrential stiff dew against the Hilltoppers and doing pretty good....

This game is the Negatigers last best chance to have something to bitch about this season. Up until this point, they've had to hide in the walls like roaches.

I think someone looked back at this a game or two back and the number was 3 times on the year...

Hopefully, we run the ball first at least as long as:
1. We have a number 7 in the backfield
2. He's healthy
3. The back of his jersey says, and I quote , "F-O-U-R-N-E-T-T-E".
I'll explain why, as you're obviously a lil slow.
Ya see, the way it works is like this. When you're on offense, the plays you call are always balancing at least two things, those being their chance of success and the risk that something really bad happens by running that particular play. Balance, child, balance.
To fully explain, I'd have to define words like success and really bad, and because I know you can't stay with me that long, I'll sort of pare this down to its most elementary components.....because we have a really good group of offensive linemen, who block for what may be the best running back to ever play college football, and because THAT guy gets breathers (that's rest) when other exceptionally good running backs come into the game, and because when that risk thing is considered, a whole lot of really bad things are less likely to happen when we hand the ball off to either that 7 guy or one of his very capable and likely "not tired" replacements, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to not do just that, especially when the alternative in your scenario includes but one option - - employ of the forward pass.
Now, I understand from where you see things. I know that you are not the first to be been lured in by this very useful - in moderation - thing called a forward pass, what with its sexiness, and lore, and beauty. Ultimately, know this. It's a siren's call. It can hurt you. It's alot like wine, see. Just a little is wonderful. Too much though, and......well, let's just say you don't want to go where it can take you. Don't be a fool, and chase its quick points and false hope. Especially when it's unnecessary.
Find the beauty of the A gap. Know that those who receive forward passes are also valuable in the run game. Be satisfied with yards collected methodically. That wears on your opponent, unlike the quick strike, which gives your opponent false hope that he's not really losing the war - just some critical battles. And above all, remember to never lose the war because you tried to be something you are not.
Go in peace, and have sinful thoughts no more.

How long will we stay with the run/run/pass/punt offense
LSU has opened a drive with a run-run-pass-punt situation six times this season (3 MSU, one of the runs was a reverse; 1 @ SU, which was series LF7 had 87-yard run called back; 2 times against Florida, of which one included a delay of game penalty).
So, this season, there have been THREE drives all season that have included a run to a running back, run to a running back, pass, punt without a penalty. THREE. Six total if you include two drives that included penalties and one with a Dural run.

The OP'r needs to do his research before talkin shite.
LSU has #2 Total Offense and #2 Scoring Offense among the Playoff contenders. I don't care what all the little spread offense schools are doing in the MAC - Compare to our peers. They are only behind Clemson by a smidge on both categories.
Therefore the OP needs to watch the fricking games.

Gotdammit, I'm not suggesting we turn into Baylor. I like the way our offense is playing, but there is no denying Miles will take his foot off of the gas... and it usually bites us in the arse.
That's all I'm saying so frick off.

Miles strategy is to burn clock, don't give the opponent a cheap score and limit their opportunities in the second half in order to win the game. It has bitten him a few times but has been successful far more times. I do agree that I would like to see him be a little more aggressive early in the second half.

I suggest OP goes and takes a look at some drive summaries. Just because our offense slows down at some point in a game doesn't mean we're "taking the foot of the pedal" or doing run/run/pass/punt offense as dipshit OP contends. It's such a tired myth.

I hope your massive Tube Quasar TV balanced precariously on a milk crate in the living room of your trailer falls on you the first time we run this play!

This post is you crawfishing after getting a million down votes for your original dumb frick post. GFY and just admit that you haven't watched a full game this season.
