His parents didn't want him getting surgery in the first place. If they had, he'd still be completing rehab but would have been ready for this season. Now, this year is in doubt as well.

Rotation should still be good.

@Chandler_Rome: The fear, according to #LSU coach Paul Mainieri, is that Latz has a stress fracture in his left shoulder

The man, the myth, the legend. Hopefully he comes back full strength his redshirt sophomore year and earns himself some money.

Tommy john or something else?

I get the feeling he was never going to pitch in college. He'll be ready come draft time.

It sucks for the team but for his sake do the surgery and than you still have 1-3 years to impress the scouts and get drafted.

Any arm injury that requires long rest focuses its rehab on the shoulder because it's what is most likely to be injured again. It does all the work and if it's not ready, this happens.

If he has surgery this fall im sure he will be ready for spring 2017, he would have 1-3 years to get draft ready

Who knew herbal teas can't fix tendons and ligaments?

Apparently PM thinks if he gets the surgery now it's a 4-6 month rehab so maybe back by late spring.
