The secret/surprise play will be Jennings

Did you really just compare Harris to Cam? Seriously?
Gus Malzahn did it frequently . . .
Called him Mini-Cam.

Yes Harris will have highest rushing total of his career against bama. Between scrambling and called options which we will run. I say they will be keying on Fournette and letting Harris run wild u til the second half.

the speed of Alabamas front 7 will make it difficult to have any success running outside
You got this bass ackwards.

I just pray people will quit worrying about what side of the field we run it to.
Though it does serve a purpose. Every time someone says shortside it is easy to disregard their football opinions
Yes, we will see it in the 3rd

An interior running game forces LB's to stay home thus opening up outside counter plays, play action bubble passes, end arounds, etc. That leaves our WR's blocking one on one and forcing safeties to come up and make plays. I'll take our RB's against any safety in the nation all day long.
Establish inside running game and force LB's to hesitate a step. THEN the outside opens up.

I thought Miles was saving LSU's secret playbook for this game?

In the comparison LF is Cam, not Harris
Harris isn't built to take repeated hits over and over which is what happens when your qb runs the options.

Have you watched bama this year? Teams have had more success running to the outside than inside against them.

hope we don't try that fullback blast on every short yardage situation. In the last 2 games we've used it in all but one short yardage situation. It's mostly worked until now but they'll probably be sitting on it.
I believe this is when they will run the option. They have set it up for this all year

Have you watched? We have the best player in the country running the ball who thrives running down hill. Alabama hasn't seen anyone like him. Chubb was the closest and he broke a long one right up the gut. No reason to get cute and get away from what's been proven to work.

I'm not sure if many people in this thread have watched much LSU football up to this point.
We HAVE run a toss sweep in every game this year, see: Guice's thirty four yard run against South Carolina. And we have run a read option in every game this year, twice against WKU last week.
I think we've limited the amount of times we've done that because we absolutely need Harris healthy, but Harris does a great job of minimizing the amount of hit he absorbs by making himself skinny right before impact.
He's kind of a magical runner, and I think you'll see the read option up to 5 times and it will be successful a couple of those times.

I agree. Like I said in a previous post, I'm not saying we won't see it. I just don't understand why people think this is the game where we should rely on something we haven't don't much of all season, rather than just letting the outside plays complement our power game as normal.

You joke but attacking the shortside against a 3-4 defense works.
Posted on 10/29/15 at 5:58 pm to JBLSU8216
We will probably run some option at least a few plays. But Bama will have prepared for it. They know BH can run. I think it will be somewhat to very successful though. Our O-Line is
