Why was does it count as a rush and not a reception? Behind the line of scrimmage?

Probably so, but he actually "caught" the ball at like the 10 yard line

Man I clicked this thinking it would be another one of those, "Why wasn't the holder ruled down?" Questions.

Ha. Sorry to disappoint.

Me, too. It is funny that some of the same crew who couldn't understand the rule in 2010 were back at it this year.

Kragthorpe was kneeling at the 22-23, Domingue first touched it at the 24, but didn't have full posession until the 20 or so. Since Trent was behind Kragthorpe it goes down as a rush.
Video starts right before kick

If it was a play from scrimmage, and krag threw the same pass to a WR it would count as a pass would it not?

Oh i see why you are confused now
You are saying as if it were a screen pass for example?
Unless I've been misunderstanding the game of football, if its forward itll be a pass, and if its backward itll be a rush. Im sure you may be able to find examples of borderline screen passes going one way or another though

Because the surgeon was the boy's mother. I thought we all knew this?

I'm sexist, so I didn't know this.
Thanks for the answer.

Well Kragthorpe didn't throw a pass.
But no.

Lateral is a run. Ball must move forward (not be 'caught' forward) of the source for it to be a pass.
The ball was thrown slightly behind the mark where the holder was.

Wow, wonder if it was designed to go back like that? If it's forward and he misses the catch, than it's just a incomplete pass, and doesn't have a chance for a fumble.
