Begue kid from Lafayette goes 4.42 in 40 at ULL camp. 10 TD's this year against Catholic BR / Haynville / Sulphur / Notre Dame of Crowley / 6A powerhouse Eldorado Ark and Carencro tonight but for the most part is UNDER THE RADAR. Thoughts?

He looks fast, but I doubt he runs a 4.2.
Nice film by the way Mrs. Begue.

That says a 4.42.

His speed is very good, but his acceleration is borderline elite. He is raw in route running, but his natural skills seem strong enough to develop into a nice slot wr or 3rd down rb.

Definitely not "next Malachi" because the kid is 5'10" and doesn't appear to be a jumper. That said, looks like he can play. Pretty good instincts and good speed. I were a coach, I wouldn't complaint about him being on my team, that's for sure.

Per 247, yes. Trevor 247 Doesn't look like the 247 staff really keeps up with the kid though, so who knows... TD peeps?

Why don't we run more of these? Quinn and Johnson are perfect for these, Guice as well when he goes in the slot.

Because for the past couple of years our quarterbacks have had a bad tendency to stare down the primary receiver right from the snap, which is a recipe for interceptions on quick slants.

A quick slant is one of the hardest passes to possibly intercept if not the hardest. If your QB has a strong arm then the only real way its ever intercepted is bad throw or thrown so hard it becomes a tip drill. If they squat the slant then a double move will burn them.

Les is shell shocked from 08. LSU has avoided the middle of the field ever since.
