maybe in NOLA or very specific circles
but I doubt this happens with any frequency
maybe I just never put much value on where someone went to HS because I went to some rural public school in LA, but I think college is more important
and I find it kinda funny that people put so much emphasis on isolating their kids in private school, then all their kids end up at LSU with all the public school trash

All of this only matters if you stay local for life. I will encourage my kids to relo with good companies, eventually finding where they want to stay.
I relo'd from BR in 2008, and my career skyrocketed due to that mobility. Now, after starting a family and settling down, I am much better off than I would have been in S. LA regardless of networking.
