First bow purchase advice needed

I'm not too big into deer hunting, bird hunting is more my thing, but lately I've been interested in getting a bow.
My price range is around $850-$900 for just the bow, not including accessories.
I'm more familiar with mathews, because that's what most of my buddies shoot. I've heard great things on the creed XS, which is in my price range, but what about the z2?
Also wouldn't mind looking at hoyt, elite, and bow tech bows, if anyone has any suggestions on bows that those brands offer.
TIA

They all make great bows. With that price range, shoot every bow in the store and see which one feels the best to you.

PSE DNA SP is what I shoot. I love the bow. Smooth as hell and still has decent IBO speed (345)

If you can find a shop that carries Xpedition or Obsession bows you should really try them. They are as smooth and quiet as any Mathews or Elite and considerably faster.

My advice is to go shoot all of them. Your budget you can buy anything. I got caught up in the speed debacle, had a quick Bowtech Experience that I never felt comfortable with. I got rid of it and purchased a Mathews No Cam HTR that I freaking love and am super accurate with.
Bows are definitely personal preference.

I was In the same boat as you 10 months ago.
I went with the Z2 and have not looked back - I have been more than happy.

Im a little biased, but if that were my budget, I'd roll with this Hoyt Nitrum 34

I would take the ATA length into consideration. I like to hunt in thick areas and will never go longer than a 30"-32". The Z2 seems to be a great bow from reviews.

If you want, call up the guys at huntersfriend. Some of the nicest staff out there and very good package prices. They custom cut arrows and paper tune and site in the bow. They set it up just how you want. Absolutely incredible and friendly service. Where I bought my PSE.
