Second best coach in LSU history. I love the guy, but only an idiot thinks he's better than Saban was. Records be damned. Saban took the program from mediocrity to greatness. Miles maintained it at excellent.

I believe these two years will be Miles' golden era. We will be in the title hunt in 2015 and 2016. I also think it will be his swan song. The program will probably start slipping in a couple of years. If so, Alleva should move fast to get a quality replacement.

If saban had not gone to bama you wouldn't be saying that.

Les Miles doesn't have a split title. He will come close or own the record for most wins in LSU history. Miles is better at LSU than saban was.

Honestly, look at the other top programs, why did UF suck after Spurrier and Meyer? USC after Carroll, Texas after brown, OSU after tressel? because it isn't that easy to maintain success. Bama is going to suck after saban, why? because they won't have Les Miles.

Les brought Oklahoma state out of non existence. where winning 4 games was a good season for them.

wel if you are talking about recruiting then he can't come close to Saben. He doesn't have all those 5 star recruits to work with that Saben has but he is pretty good at developing what he does have into NFL players. But just from a coaching standpoint, I think Miles is probably a little better in that he often faces teams with similar or more talent and still gets wins. Saben never faces teams with more or similar talent but still gets loses.
