Priest Holmes
Larry Johnson
Jamaal Charles
Doubt any team in recent memory can match those three running back consecutively. Would trade them for a real QB though, or one playoff win. What a pathetic franchise I follow

Looking back at Larry Johnson
Can we consider him the first person to have his career ended by Twitter? He was making homophobic tweets way before it was cool

a nice back, but take a look at any player in the Dick Vermeil offense. Rams or Chiefs. Guy was a genius.

e had a good line, but he also had a mediocre qb
Trent Green was pretty good. Def better than mediocre...but I agree that Holmes wasn't just some scrub running behind a beast line. He was a really talented player.

It's always talk about, Terrell Davis, Adrian Peterson, LT, Arian Foster, etc....
Adrian Peterson and LT are/were better than Priest Holmes. Foster is currently playing, so he gets talked about, and TD had the Super Bowl
Priest was FUN to watch. I also remember Larry Johnson playing well for a couple seasons then collapsing.

He was a fantasy football gold in the early 2000s

He was a goal line TD machine. Never ran for more than 1615 yds in a season.

I've never seen Arian Foster get mentioned in any greatest RB of all time debate.
No shite lol Foster might not even be top 10 in current nfl

Very underrated....dude carried the shite out of those Chiefs teams.

Good thing there was no goodell.

I think the most underrated recent RB was Fred Taylor.

Was it Vermeil's or Mike Martz' offense? Was the OC in KC some Mike Martz disciple?

Taylor Corey Dillon Gore and Steven Jackson are all guys you never hear about much. I know they aren't on the level of the elite guys like Faulk, Smith, Payton, etc but all four are top 20 in career rushing and had extended periods of consistent success. Hard to do
Also Curtis Martin never gets his due among the elite guys. His consistency was insane

Well no shite. He's fourth all time in rushing. You never hear his name mentioned with Emmitt Smith, Payton, Dickerson, Faulk, etc when people discuss the greatest RBs of all time because he didn't have the electrifying athletic ability others had and wasn't as flashy
