TCU would beat Ohio State right now
Don't be ridiculous. Beating Texas isn't something to brag about these days and TCU needed a miracle to beat Texas Tech. TCU needs to worry about beating Baylor this year instead of a hypothetical moral victory.

Texas Tech is better than Indiana....

true and Ohio State needs to worry about Michigan and Michigan State... way the offense looks though every team could have a chance against Ohio State

Basing this solely off of history

Based on what, exactly?

Ohio State will deal with them or they won't get in to the playoff. Simple as that. You'd know better than I how that works. I'm not the one arguing hypothetical wins and losses.

I bet Texas Tech would beat Indiana if they played today... score would be 45-24

Maybe after Sudfeld and Howard were lost. With those two, Indiana is a pretty good offensive football team. Certainly good enough to score on those Big 12 "defenses".

Today was the first time Indiana played a team (although wake could count)
They played well but let's be real they are not on the level of Texas Tech or many other teams. They are a bowl eligible team that will win 6 games based on their schedule. I mean honestly with Penn State, Rutgers, Michigan State, Iowa, Michigan, Maryland, and Purdue left on the schedule they actually may be lucky to win 6.

Weird, I thought they were 4-0 coming in.

Again, based on what? Texas Tech beat Arkansas and that's it. So did Toledo.

quote:I would take that over a team beating the teams listed above... you know teams that are not that good, wKentucky could win CUSA but what does that mean, they would be playing in the New Orleans bowl since CUSA just sucks now.

You seem to count Stephen F Austin, SMU, Sam Houston State UTEP, Minnesota, and Arkansas so why not.

Cool story. Just be happy that TCU is even around and hope they don't make the playoff. They'd have to play teams with defenses there. You thought Minnesota had a tough defense, wait until you see Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, etc.
Posted on 10/3/15 at 9:16 pm to DisplacedBuckeye
LSU doesn't have a good defense
Posted on 10/3/15 at 9:19 pm to DisplacedBuckeye
I would take Arkansas over any team, I would take Minnesota over Souther Illinois, FIU, and wKentucky as well
quote:ok I've seen everything... you do realize that "favorite team" doesn't mean much and I can change it at the drop of a hat. I mean yesterday I had Tulane by my name.

Well, they're probably better than anyone TCU will play.

but no LSU doesn't have a good defense

One more time, based on what? Your take on this is meaningless when you provide absolutely nothing to substantiate it.

And? You're arguing in favor of TCU. I'm arguing against them. I don't care who you root for, I assume you watched TCU/Minnesota and would watch the playoff games. Am I wrong there?

I guess somewhere in top 5 by default. I honestly don't think anyone is really that impressive right now. If you had a gun to my head and I had to pick the team I thought most likely to beat any other I'd say Bama. They seem to have fixed the early season o line issues and are getting efficient play at qb.

Arkansas has lost to Texas Tech and Toledo... now I don't know much about Toledo but Texas Tech is a 8-10 win team easily. Arkansas did not lose by much and they were in the game, they are better than the teams Indiana played early in the year and I firmly believe they would be 4-0 with that schedule.

TCU struggled against Minnesota, OSU has struggled against Indiana, Northern Illinois, and for a half against Virginia Tech... so TCU has struggled but OSU has struggled even more against teams that were inferior.
