The U.S. is seen by the world as the country that has caused this catastrophe in the Middle East. From Iraq to Libya to this, we have empowered the Islamists and destabilized the entire region causing massacres and desecrations from those animals. And for what? So the Saudis and Turks can have a stranglehold on the region in exchange for favorable energy policies (petrodollar)? People bitch about Iran and they are bad, but the Saudis are worse. We shouldn't be in bed with any of them. What happened to the American tradition of non-interventionism?

Maybe ask Europeans who were alive in the 1930's or maybe even those who lived in China, Korea, etc. in the '30s also?
