Spencer has been doing that since his original season. As smart as he seems, and as good as he is at the game, long term planning hasn't been his strong suit. A lot of that is just bad luck with the tribes he's found himself on. He was also in a desperate situation and didn't really have time to seek out another deal and risk that deal blowing up and them sticking with the original plan of voting him out.
Cass's hatred of Spencer is really weird. I don't remember her dislike of him being so strong on their season. I know she didn't like him, but she seems to be playing it up a bit this season.

The whole thing last episode with her "getting revenge" on Spencer was stupid. Revenge for what? She destroyed his game and went further than him. If anything Woo was the one she needed to get revenge on and she got it.
I think it's shitty how they overplayed her role in the Woo boot. I think Ciera was the one who got the ball rolling and Abi was probably the one who wanted Woo out first.

She was really annoying. I'm glad she went HAM so early. She could have stayed so much longer even acting like a jackass but she just had to go über douche. Good riddance.

Finally watched last week's episode last night, and can't believe how stupid Ciera was. Trying to stir up drama is fine, but doing it in front of the person(Savage) you want targeted? She's always seemed pretty perceptive to me, but that was beyond dumb on her part, especially in the wake of the Cass/Tasha dust up.
