is there some type of law where we could only have 3 zones? could there somehow be 4? keep west and east how they are, and just split the coastal into SE and SW?

The only available options are one statewide season two zones or three zones there are no other alternatives we must pick one of those options. As you can see it's not so simple as change the dates and keep the song change the zones around it's just not a simple fix to please everyone. I am not sure what the best answer is but I can tell you I have great dislike of a Nov 7 opening date in SE LA.

Zones and Splits Options from the USFWS:
1) NO zones with up to 2 splits.
2) Up to 3 zones with split seasons.
3) Up to 4 zones with straight seasons (no splits).
