Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO get'em Astros!
I spend a lot of nights as a young lad in Metairie listening to Milo Hamilton and Larry Dierker call Astros games whilst playing with my baseball cards, football cards, and Starting Lineups.
Gave up my fanhood when they built that retarded new bandbox and changed their caps and unis.

I remember listening to him for many games when I was younger. Always a good announcer.

I remember when he did Cubs games on WGN. Harry Carey really screwed him over. Milo was supposed to replace Jack Brickhouse as the lead Cubs announcer on WGN TV.
I tell you the greatest feud in baseball was between Milo Hamilton and Harry Carey. Milo hated Harry Carey with a passion after Harry went from the White Sox to the Cubs.

Goodbye Milo. Loved you on KTRH in Houston during the 80's. Alan Ashby, Larry Dierker, Jim Deshaes, and Bill Brown. Awesome Times.
Milo was the voice. Put a blue star on that baabbbyy.

What a great call!
Loved listening to Astros baseball growing up in BR. It's sad we don't carry them anymore.
RIP Milo

Why are they not in Br? When I was at LSU I listened all the time.

When he was with the Cubs, fans would walk around with spray painted sheets stating that Milo Sucks. He did not last long in Chicago

Milo was truly outstanding--in a class by himself, as a radio play-by-play announcer.
Certainly remember Holy Toledo, the call of Hank Aaron's record setting home run, and many clever lines. One not mentioned above that I recall is "He crossed the pay station," obviously meaning the player scored a run.

He is part of why I became as Astros fan. I grew up listening to him on the radio. I remember my mom coming in my room when I was supposed to be asleep and scolding me for having the radio on listening to milo past my bed time. RIP
