My Muck Wetlands just got a rip in the upper neoprene section. They have treated me well after a long 8 years.
What are the better boots out right now? I have a pair of cheap uninsulated boots that work fine, looking for insulated.

Always had lacrosse burlies. Still do. Don't see any reason to get rid of a good thing.

I must be hell on boots I have yet to have a pair of Mucks last past a couple years. The soles come unglued from the boots and usually happens where it can't be found to glue back on. I like the Alphaburly from Lacrosse, the ankle isn't so tight that you can't get them back off.

"Don't sit with ur feet propped up by the fire extreme heat makes the glue melt and it comes unglued"that's what muck told me and they sent me a 50 gift card toward a new pair..I have kept my new ones away from the fire and have had no problems

I bought a pair of Lacrosse Aeroheads last year and they are by far the best boots I've owned

I've had better luck with lacrosse than muck. Used to rock the grange, but my feet started getting cold. Started wearing the neoprene lacrosse and have been very happy.
Just ordered a pair of Sorel duck boots though, I have high hopes for those.

Thanks for the feedback.
I think I might try some Lacrosse. Those Aeroheads look really nice.
I loved my Mucks and had a great run with them, but they were a bit clunky.

Still enjoying my Mucks, but have head good things about these "Mickey" boots from the military. They aren't the sharpest-looking boots, but everything online says that they are extremely warm.

Lacrosse Alpha Burly Sport. By far the most comfortable pair I've ever owned. Feels like I'm wearing a pair of running shoes.
The Muckboots I have had seemed to get very mushy and didnt have very much arch support.

The bulkiness plus no support is steering me away from mucks.
Great boots, but I am a skinny frick and if I dont have 6 pairs of socks on, it sounds like a herd of cattle is coming through the woods when I walk. My heel/ankle constantly slips up and down.

I have black, military Matterhorn insulated boots that are phenomenal performers in the slush - proven during a Kosovo winter - I once stepped in a puddle of ice melt and I couldn't even tell my foot was in water, much less water about 32.3 degrees F.
