Some people in here act like they've never broken a single law. I hate a holier than thou type more than anyone else on this earth, except for murderers and rapists and Jared from Subway.

I'd be mad too if I never had a day of fun in my life in Arkansas.

You cannot be this blind and stupid. An honest mistake? An honest mistake is accidentally running a red light. This guy lied about his Alaskan residence, then illegally guided bear hunts, killed illegal animals, and out of season. Not an honest mistake. I will say he got it honestly though, his dad got busted too.

Let's settle down buck. Chad never said he made and honest mistake. he said he made a mistake.

I'm not a big fan. They can play by the rules like we all do. Commercial operations that do it for profit are the worst.

Guy I used to work with just got busted for the third time (twice in AK, once in Montana) and I have no sympathy for him

That guy isn't the one the guys on here are talking about. Lance Walker is who most people are discussing and he wasn't the one who claimed AK residency, guided people, etc... He was involved in it, but the guy you're talking about is Clark Dixon. By all account this Dixon cat is in for a world of hurt.

Right. Lance was just hunting without a registered big game guide and tried to cover it up

if I shared half of the stories I have from living in Maine this board would go into full blown meltdown mode

poaching in Maine is a pretty regular thing and is a way of life for most people, they don't look at it as being morally wrong at all, they have a,"we're Mainers, we live off the land and ocean, it's what we do ", mentality

I know a guy who illegally poached deer every single day/night for three months straight, the night he said he didn't get a deer is because they had,"half the IFW in a five mile radius", when he told me the story I didn't believe him, I just laughed and hoped in my buddies truck and took off back to cabin. As soon as we got back in the truck my friend who I was hunting with that day said," you he wasn't lying, right?", I told him there was no way he got a deer a day for three months straight, my buddy said,"oh.. he got the deer... I was talking about half the Maine IFW being after his arse... you should've seen't it."

last I heard they never got him

Noatak is heavily used by native subsistance hunters who rely on the game to sustain them through the winter. Feds being involved, they will not be treated very well and probably get some harsh sentencing.

Small world. Looks like I knew Lance's wife fairly well back in college. Even dated a friend of hers for a while.

Will be paying attention to the details of this more closely now.
